DEFY and founder/creative director Chris Tag aims to design and manufacture best products in the local Chicago area, using mainly military inspired materials ranging from recycled tarps to various metallic buckles and straps. It was my fortunate to work as an industrial design intern at DEFY during the Spring of 2018. The weekender project I carried out from start to the end successfully launched onto market and it is now being sold world wide.
The secret behind DEFY’s success comes from efficient team work. Everyone including the sewing technician shares the same studio space in which creates great synergy to generate incredible product.
Heavily inspired from the military, DEFY uses 100% recycled tarps, in which none of the materials were purchased from the first hand.
